World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights for my daughters dance competition that was happening at the convention center next door. I was excited for the trip based on pictures and other reviews, but sadly was quite disappointed. Main issue was that only 2 of the 4 elevators were operating causing long lines to use them. Adding to this problem was the lack of stairs to go up and down from the lobby to the floors (only fire escape stairs that exit outside exist). For a dance convention there was constant flow of people to and from the rooms as dancers have varied schedules and large dance bags. Almost every ride on the elevator was packed with people, many times getting in the elevator when there was room, having to ride up to go down and down to eventually go up. It was quite a nightmare. We have stayed here before, several years ago. When we checked in, host was very sweet and personable. Upon arrival into our room, we found a condom wrapper on the floor, in plain sight, bathroom was also not very clean. Bathtub was gross. I walked down to front desk to tell them. Jennifer the assistant manager asked if we wanted to move rooms. I told her that was not necessary but asked they just clean the room again. We were on our way out for the evening and she assured me they would head right up and take care of the room. Well 4 hours later, we returned to our room to find said condom wrapper on floor and room not cleaned.

This is the best hotel I have stayed at in long the long time the management was best I ever I seen last night in hotel industry. The restaurant manager that was on duty, she was so respectful and helpful to me and my family and also so her working so hard she did a job of 5 managers what a plus effort on her. I think her name was hanna . Plus the cook name Carly wow he makes and awesome food last my family was so happy!

Positive: Overall, the experience was average. The decor seemed outdated, and the wallpaper in the rooms showed wear, with scratches. To earn higher ratings and meet guest expectations, a renovation and aesthetic update are needed. Negative: ""

I recently stayed at the World Golf Village Renaissance, and it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. A special shoutout to Jim, the breakfast manager, who made the mornings extra special. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wonderful variety of delicious options, and everything was top-notch. The service was exceptional, making the entire stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!
