My husband and I booked the Woodstock Inn for a wedding anniversary getaway and what a delight it was! The property itself is absolutely beautiful. My only gripe was upon arrival at 5:00PM we were informed that our room was not yet ready, which was surprising given the standard check-in time. While delays can happen, the interaction at the front desk felt dismissive rather than welcoming, which took away from what should have been a special start to our stay. Two ladies at the front desk tried to be helpful, it's was their superior or manager who was extremely rude. We ended up checking in at 6p. My husband booked three nights at the Woodstock Inn as a surprise for my 60th birthday. Sparing no expense to celebrate, he booked us in a beautiful suite. ||We were shocked when we got to the room and it was a dog friendly suite in the walkout basement section. Very worn furniture with a view of a brick wall. My husband immediately went back to the front desk to tell them there must be a mistake and to express that we have allergies. We were told a manager would be on duty in 15 minutes and would call us. After waiting quite a while we went back to the front desk. We were told very rudely that we booked a king size bed with a pullout sofa and that is what we had. Basically be happy we have a room.||No one ever called. Out stay at the Woodstock Inn has been wonderful! The team is so helpful, leaving a special surprise for our daughter's birthday. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the resort amenities are outstanding. Our teens loved it!

We stayed at Morgan House at the Woodstock Inn from Feb 23–27, paying roughly $1,300 per night plus taxes and fees. We chose it because of the Inn’s reputation, luxury positioning, and Michelin affiliation. We arrived excited. We left genuinely disappointed. When we opened the kitchen cabinets to make dinner, we were shocked. The condition was frankly disgusting: dirty cookware, glass containers with dried food residue, heavily soiled oven mitts, and an oven with visible grease and debris. It was clear the kitchen had not been properly cleaned between guests. Even the cleaners who came after we complained acknowledged how bad it was. We had a wonderful stay at the Woodstock Inn & Resort. We were checked in by Christine who went so above & beyond to get us settled & ensure we were aware of all the amenities offered. The food & service was wonderful. They have a delicious breakfast buffet and our waitress, Savannah, was so sweet. I forgot my purse on a chair and she ran after me to make sure I got it back- thank you!! The rooms are clean, comfortable and have a classic charm. The windows open so you can sleep with the fresh Vermont air. The hotel is a short walk to downtown, close to local farms, Quichee George & Simon Pearce.
