Amazingly charming and comfortable stay. The mix of VT cozy and elegant dining at a reasonable price is exactly what you look for in an Inn. We especially loved the complementary wine and cheese at 5pm everyday. Sitting by the fire and drinking a glass of red wine with snow falling outside cannot be beat. Thank you!

The Jackson Inn has charm and potential, but my stay ultimately felt impersonal and lacking in attention to detail. Basic guest information was missing from the room — there was no in-room guide explaining amenities, how to operate the heat, or even the Wi-Fi password. The gas fireplace, which was a highlighted feature, was not working. The layout also felt inconvenient. Several rooms are located in a separate wing that requires walking outside to access the tea/coffee and lounge area, which was not clearly communicated in advance. Common areas need better upkeep. The shared mini fridge was dirty, not cold, and contained leftover items. Tea and coffee were not restocked, the Keurig was not working, and while an ice bucket was provided, there is no ice machine — guests must ask for ice i

The Inn itself is lovely, and the basics are provided. However hospitality and communication are non existent. I choose a room with a fireplace which is more expensive than a standard room. Upon check, no inn keeper to great us. Had to call and when she did come down casually mentioned don’t try and turn on the fireplace it’s broken. I inquired if she had a room with a working fireplace and was told they are all not working. Keep in mind it’s December in Vermont and was hoping for a cozy stay. She agreed to compensate me for the non working fireplace and I sent an email before I checked out with a fair amount for refund. I received no response this was Dec 21, since then I have sent multiple emails with no response. This inn lacks that New England inn feeling and personal touch. Will not b

Clean, yes. Lovely property, yes. Basics covered, yes. Great location, yes. Safe, comfortable night, yes and thank you. Will we ever stay there again, no. ||This place is nothing like the its prior self. Inadequate communication. Hospitality is absent. No included breakfast. No accurate info. We relied on experience from several years ago and did not read the reviews carefully. Lesson learned. Seems to be an event venue. We will enjoy the view as we drive past in the future.

The location was wonderful, the rooms were nice albeit a bit expensive, it reminded me of my time spent in guest houses in Europe (in the best way possible). The hotel had a nice cozy feel to it and old charm. They offered free wine and cheese in the evening however, they did not offer free breakfast, though they do have a restaurant they run out of the hotel. The restaurant is very expensive but it is lovely. I would mention for older travelers that there is only stairs for most of the rooms and some of the smaller rooms have small winding stairs to climb to get to room. All in all it was a lovely quiet stay.
