On The River Inn Woodstock, VT

The location is very convenient- 30 min to Killington, 5 min to downtown Woodstock. The place is a pass- looks more like a college apartment with wires showing, cheap worn furniture and flooring. The restaurant and restaurant staff are great! Food is very good- timely and hot! Front desk staff- just yes you. No body lotion ( dry heat and very cold outside) Mediocre at best. The parking lot out by the Farmhouse apartments is a sheet of ice and no one seemed to care for days. I’d pass on this place.

Positive: The balcony views were fantastic and all the little extras made this place special. Negative: The only thing this hotel was missing is a paved sidewalk for more walkability to the nearby town. Otherwise I was very pleased with my stay.

If you’re visiting Woodstock, this is the place to stay. The On the River Inn is warm, charming, and perfectly located for the perfect Vermont getaway right by the slopes. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming. A special shout-out to Yessenia at the front desk — she is absolutely incredible. We accidentally booked the wrong dates, and she calmly fixed everything within minutes and completely saved our vacation with friends. That level of care and service is rare and so appreciated. Beautiful setting, wonderful staff, and a truly relaxing stay. We can’t wait to come back!

On the River Inn is an absolute gem. The riverside setting is peaceful and beautiful, and the inn strikes the perfect balance between cozy Vermont charm and modern comfort. The hotel is impeccably clean, the staff is warm, welcoming, and helpful, and the amenities including the pool and jacuzzi are fabulous. Breakfast was delicious and felt like a real treat each morning, and dinner and drinks at 506 Bistro in the evenings were amazing. It is perfectly located for exploring Woodstock while still feeling like a quiet retreat. We can’t wait to come back and would recommend it without hesitation.
