WoodSpring Suites Elgin - Chicago

Previously left just a 1 star rating and I thought it was interesting the owner replied saying the guests are valued (did not feel like that at all on site btw) and they use this feedback to improve, so here’s the full review. Your front desk staff are unprofessional and rude, and I had to wait collectively 30 minutes two separate times just for somebody to show up at the front desk. Called and called for help and nothing. The entire building has a foul odor on the inside and also wreaks of marijuana. Toilet didn’t flush in the first room. Second room had an even stronger foul odor inside and the floors and counters were disgustingly dirty like it hadn’t even been cleaned. I had a great time at this hotel! Came here with my wife and it was awesome the sheets are good, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable! the staff are cool too, willing to help, a staff named Arianna, was super patient with us and took the extra time to give us directions to our room! even offered us towels. its in a very good area perfect for dates! will definitely come here again.

Do NOT recommend. This is like a transient hotel. There are no lightbulbs in the room no hair dryer. Very minimal. It is clean. The first girl at the desk when we checked in was pleasant. | The one there now not so much. W are booked for two nights but are checking out in the a.m. we will most likely not get a refund. “ it’s not our policy” she said dryly. Will eat it.

It Was a good experience sleeping here. The room was clean and the mattress was really comfortable, I was surprised! The female staff at the front desk, was really soft spoken and friendly. I ended up having a long conversation with her and she ended up making me laugh
