Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elgin - Chicago Northwest by IHG

Where to begin? We booked two rooms weeks ahead. We specifically booked a place with a pool. We are checking in and the guy says oh ya, the pool isn't operational yet... Um it is advertised on the site that the pool is available for use though! So no pool after we booked two rooms for two nights for a family getaway. The breakfast was really nice though. I would not say that it make up for the false advertising though. We would not have stayed with them had we known that the pool was not operational.

A new hotel: so clean, bright and inviting! A delicious hot breakfast is served daily. Front desk staff was very helpful. We greatly appreciate that there are PET-FREE rooms available! Not everyone has pets, and we appreciate the cleaner rooms because of this!! Thank you for your consideration! We look forward to our next visit.

We organized a small business meeting at the hotel and the event coordination team supported us well. Audio setup and seating arrangement were completed before the session started. Their on-site assistance ensured everything ran smoothly.

We are long-time IHG Diamond Elite members who have stayed at IHG properties worldwide, but this stay has led us to end our relationship with IHG after using our remaining points. The hotel is brand new and well located, but there was no Wi-Fi on the 3rd floor — a known, widespread issue. Guests were given instructions to contact a third-party IT company themselves. After multiple calls and over 30 minutes on hold, Wi-Fi briefly worked, then dropped again. No Wi-Fi also meant no TV programming. We would never have booked without internet access. There was no manager on site. Front desk staff tried to help but couldn’t resolve the issue. . Great hotel. Stuff was really nice brakefast was exelent. Cinamon buns uuuufff that was something. Rooms are clean and comfy. The mattress.... my wife did not want to get out of it. . All in all 10 out of 10. !!!
