WoodSpring Suites Dayton North

I stay here all the time for work and I am a single female. It is close to the Dayton Airport. There is necessity shopping and restaurants all within in walking distance. The property itself is always VERY clean and safe. Staff on duty 24/7 and no access to anywhere outside of the lobby unless you have a roomkey. It is a minimal extended stay, has a full kitchen and free wifi. They supply the basics but you can check out ironing boards, hair dryers, etc at the front desk. Tony, Parys and Susan have always taken amazing care of me while I am here. If you’re looking for a basic, clean, safe and super affordable hotel in the North Dayton area— this is it!

Nothing wrong with the service. The area has a lot of amenities nearby food groceries and its close to a highway. The rooms are pretty standard for hotels but lackluster for an extended stay no toothpaste and a toothbrush i went to Walmart and paid a dollar for both... The only other thing granted was a small bar of soap that would maybe last a week and conditioner you could use 3 times... and the heat blows "warm" air. The tv in my room has a line down the middle of it they offer premium wifi for an additional charge for gaming or higher bandwith but still has latency spikes every 30 seconds making most video games unplayable and with less than 2 mbs and 1 mbs download and upload good luck doing anything inventive on a computer like cmon. Amenities? What amenities? That was our first impression of the place. Too cheap to even offer tissues (they consider toilet paper a valid substitute), tiny bars of cheap soap and zero housekeeping unless you want to pay $25 a day. Unlike the industry standard of free housekeeping every 3 days unless requested, they only offer it once a week and charge you for any more than that. The beds are terrible, poor quality dorm room style beds with budget mattresses and 3 light to medium blankets but no comforters. The shower varies on whether the hot water stays running properly or suddenly goes cold on you even during non peak hours, and water pressure is fairly low. Overall, the experience wasn't bad. The staff were overall nice, and informative! We stayed for the weekend for an Irish dance competition. However the hallways of the hotel smelled like wet/old dog and Marijuana most of the stay, there's no open space for any type of gathering, and there's minimal amenities (soap especially). The beds were overall comfortable, but there was some sort of animal hair ALL OVER the sheets of the bed I slept in, so I'm not sure if it was entirely clean. Otherwise, the room was clean, but only one roll of toilet paper & 1 tiny bar of soap for the bathroom. My car also got rumnaged through in their parking lot. It was good enough for the 2 night stay, but not sure if I would do an extended stay there.
