Home2 Suites by Hilton Dayton Vandalia

This hotel is a solid mid-range hotel. the complimentary breakfast really hit the spot. the gym was in good shape and well maintained. I thought the room was pretty clean but the bathroom definitely could have been cleaner, there was a little mold in the corners of the shower.

the room was nice. breakfast was good. they had bacon and a microwave oven to make it crispy. room maintenance needs more care. there was NO shampoo in the squirt bottle in the shower. most disturbing was the lack of temperature control in the room. when cycling the heater made it too hot. then it would be off for a long time and the temperature dropped enough to wake me up because it was cold. i tried several times to get the right set temperature but the room temp was very inconsistent.

The room was nice it was just the bathroom.. there was mold on top of the celling in the shower and strings of other peoples hair the sink was clean but still some dirty spots. The service was good really nice. The pool was nice but no hot tub 😭 there was like dirty stuff in the pool kinda disgusting. The location is very nice around stores and restaurants. Also there is people that is a bit noisy there was like kids running around and slamming doors and kids where crying and couldn't sleep but other than that everything was really nice

I will start with the very good! The manager and desk associate were pleasant and very accommodating. Made you feel at home. The people working the night of 2/24 need a raise! Now the bad. Holy cow the room was filthy. I mean filthy. Top 2 worst rooms we have ever checked into. Urine running down the front of the toilet and pooled on the floor. Hair everywhere! Various items in corners and against the walls.
