Wingate by Wyndham Sioux City

Hi, I’m from Kansas City and needed a place to stay in Sioux City while my truck was being repaired. I chose this hotel because of its great price, and I’m very glad I did. I’d like to thank the general manager, whose name I unfortunately forgot, and the entire staff for being so welcoming, kind, and attentive to my needs. I really enjoyed my stay there!

This hotel is dated. On the outside it looks okay. We travel with our dog. The dog area was clean. The beds were comfortable. It has a refrigerator, microwave and refrigerator. The room appeared to be fairly clean until you got to the bathroom. The tub was stained and the toilet needed a deep cleaning. My wife and I didn’t take a bath or shower due to the way it looked. We were so tired from driving the whole day that we decided to sleep. I woke up and had a bite on my back. I don’t know what bit me. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. This was a free stay for me. I don’t believe my points were well spent. Wyndham needs to get tougher on the management of all their brands of hotels or they will fall behind. We have been using Best Western and the Marriott brands to travel across the US

Positive: Pets allowed Negative: The curtains were very dirty and didn't close all the way. I also was not a fan that the room we stayed in had vinyl flooring instead of carpet.

Everything, from the staff to the room, was amazing! They were very accommodating for me (they put a shower chair in the bathroom before I arrived). I don't think I've ever slept on a bed that comfortable before with such soft pillows. I had a small issue with the room above me stomping around until almost midnight but when I went to the front desk to report it, they were quick to get it taken care of so I was able to get some sleep. Overall an amazing experience and I'm looking forward to staying there again in the future

Housekeeping just empties the trash and brings fresh towels. Front desk is often empty. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy but the food was hot and fresh. Decent basic motel.
