The Warrior Hotel, Autograph Collection

Overall, it's just mediocre. The building and rooms themselves are very nice. The hotel is beautiful. Very well equipped with a gym, pool, bowling alley, etc. but the service is not up to what I would expect as a lifetime status member with Marriott. They are just a lot little issues, but they add up and are inconvenient. Upon arriving, I realized that there were coffee pods, but no make maker. The next day only after I was already in the shower at 4:00 am to get to work, I realized there was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash - so annoying. When I tried to have dinner at their restaurant, most days it was only a lunch menu. As a frequent traveler you crave a real meal. When they did offer dinner it was quite good though. We really enjoyed staying at the Warrior. It is a beautiful hotel, great amenities, quiet and a great location to downtown restaurants, the theater and shopping. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in Sioux City. We chose an upper floor so we could admire the view. We also ate twice in the hotel and enjoyed our meals both times. The staff was courteous, professional and gave great service. I am glad that the Warrior was renovated and reopened again.

I travel to Sioux City often and love my stays at the warrior. I have never been disappointed. The property has beautiful art deco inside and out. Rooms are very quiet and have super cool bathrooms, which includes TV's in the bathroom mirrors and fancy bidet toilets that have heated seats and self clean. Bedding, towels, and toiletries are top quality. Fridges are in the closet or cubbard. The lobby restaurant, Woodbury's, is amazing. Steak is on the menu here and it is delicious. The beer and wine selection is on point, and the service is outstanding. There is a bar on the top level and bowling in the basement. Parking is free in the outdoor lot behind the hotel..

Positive: I was pleasantly surprised by the heated toilet seat, bidet, and overall comfort of the room. Negative: Although the staff was good, there was an issue with notifying me when my room was ready. They never did reach out stating the employee was busy. I had requested housekeeping w no results. I had to contact the front desk to which I settled for towels.

Lovely place. Elegant space being spread out leads to staff not always being where you want them to be. I would suggest service bells at the front desk and especially at the restaurant. Will definitely go again. Bowling alley in the basement looked like a wonderful place to hang out, drink beer and eat pizza or whatever your fancy. We just weren't there long enough to try it all out.
