Wingate by Wyndham Oshkosh

Just stayed this week. Let me start off by saying that staff is amazing and very kind! Breakfast was suitable/enjoyable for the price! With that being said, the hotel itself is not there… yet. It is clear that they are remodeling and painting as there is stuff all over in the halls (paint buckets, ladders, furniture, etc). However, they should shut one floor down at a time instead of giving out rooms that are below standard. My room was okay, nothing over the top, but my bathroom was covered in mold! Same with two other rooms in our group. Also, shower did not drain and left me standing over ankle deep during my shower.

Positive: The location was in a prime location, but conditions of hotel was very poor Negative: Just an old hotel, and the morning workers were loud

We recently stayed here. They didn't check my ID when checking in. They put us on the 3rd floor where they were painting rooms so plastic and painting supplies on the floor everywhere in the hallway. They stated "They won't disturb you." We left to dinner and upon returning they were still there and now painting the rooms on each side of us. It was so loud. I called the front desk and I was told "They should be done soon." We called again and explained it's 7:00 PM on a Saturday night, it's very loud (slamming doors, scraping paint, etc.) and honestly we felt a bit unsafe as well. Once again we were told they would be done soon. Finally after an hour or so, they finally leave. There were two separate hairs in my bed. The bathroom smelled awful like strong bleach, but then like a sour smell

Stayed a few days for my father's funeral. The front desk staff were very friendly. The breakfast items were fresh daily. The room was clean as well as the halls.

We booked a suite at Wingate, upon entering the room, the smell of wet dog was overwhelming. The staff immediately moved us to another suite, which reeked of wet dog and smoke. The staff immediately moved us to their suite which was okay. The bathroom was clean but we were Only provided three towels, one hand towel and one washcloth for two people. The staff cleaning the rooms were quick to provide more, but the room should have been better stocked. The mattress was worn and sagging in the middle. The hot breakfast was not good at all. We ended up eating out all three mornings. I will say that the staff was absolutely amazing and quick to take care of our issues. They were very apologetic and accommodating. We Travel to Oshkosh very often to see family and go to Packer games. We will n
