Circle R Campground

This park has recently added lots of 30/50 water/electric sites on grass in addition to their full hook up sites. They offer a honey bucket service. Located on a quiet country road a few miles south of the airport they have a small laundry and bathrooms and showers. Their bathroom/showers are very old and badly in need of remodeling but have a good flow and lots of hot water. The well water has a high iron content so the showers are clean but badly stained from the iron. The owner has put in a new well and it appears to have less iron. The current owner is upgrading many features of the park and the bathhouse is on the list. There is a full bar on the property. The playground includes a jump pad that is VERY popular with the kids. We planned to go to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh. We were late making our reservation and could only get a parking spot with no electricity. We paid the deposit and looked forward to our stay. Unfortunately, we had to cancel when our RV was not ready in time. We called immediately and cancelled. We assumed we would lose our deposit, but they charged our credit card with another $160. We always have paid the total when we arrived.

Awesome service. Fire wood delivered right to our site. Check in was fast and easy. Also very friendly. Granddaughter (9yr) had a blast in new pond and jump pillow. We will be back.

We were there for a week during the July 2024 Air Venture. The new owner was very nice and helpful. He took a personal interest in the visitors and talked about the improvements he plans to make. The power is perfect, all brand new dual 30 and 50 amp connections and very well done. Only a few spaces have sewer hookup but there is a nice central dump station with rinse. The water pressure is good but has extremely high iron content. The showers were actually clean but the iron content turned the white shower stall floors rusty red which made them appear dirty. If you shower with flip flops, they will be rust stained with one shower. If that were addressed, I’d give it 5 stars. Aside that, all the workers were very nice and the facility is well cared for. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for a long weekend in August. The grounds are well maintained and beautifully grassy, which is great for kids to run and play around in. There is a great “old school” playground for the kids, ours loved it! We did not use any of the showers or restrooms, so I can not comment on those, but it seems like the new owners are really working on improvements that were complaints in the past. The campground is easy to maneuver around in even with our 38’ motor home pulling a 26’ trailer! Camp spots were decently level and very spacious! You do not feel packed in at all. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and we would definitely book there again! My only constructive criticism would be just to update the website to provide a bit more information and photos of the campground. Thanks for lettin
