Wingate by Wyndham Leesburg Florida

Hotel looks nothing like the photos. Room smelled of urine and had shabby bedding. Felt like a homeless shelter. We left and booked nearby even though it was pre-paid.

Positive: "" Negative: Roaches in room, shower didn't look clean, remote for tv had limited control.

They have 2 remotes in the rooms for the TV, 1 rogue and 1 direct TV and no directions to use them, the staff says to use direct TV to turn TV on but that doesn't work, roku turns it on but you only get a small amount of channels, very disappointing. The vending machines on each floor are empty with the exception of 2 items, there's no soda machines on any floor other than in the lobby, so if you want something to drink you have to go down there and once again there's only a couple of drinks to choose from, I'm not sure how this place got the rating that it did other than the appearance of the rooms, the carpets in the hallways are all stained and look old. If I had to stay in Leesburg again I would probably see if I could find somewhere else based on my stay here.

I was there for 3 days and house keeping wouldn't come in to clean or take my trash plus there was dry urine stain on the comforter.

My companion and I stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Leesburg, Florida last night. We are both Wyndham Rewards members. I am also a group travel guide and a travel agent. We used 15,000 hard earned Wyndham Rewards points for this one night stay. What a waste of points that was!! This hotel should be rated half a star. If I were paying cash, it would not be worth more than $35 per night. There were so many issues with this hotel that there isn't enough time, or space, to list them all. It is obvious that the Wyndham corporation does not inspect their properties. They should be ashamed to have their name associated with this piece of junk. It has made me question them as a corporation after this experience. As a travel agent, I will never recommend any Wyndham property to my clients. Ov
