Wingate by Wyndham Lafayette Airport

My husband and I travel often, so we stay in a lot of hotels. We look for cleanliness, comfortable beds, customer service. This hotel was a 10/10 on all marks. I absolutely loved walking in to the inviting smell in the lobby. Front staff says it’s “lemon-grass”. The hospitality that everyone including management showed made our 5 day stay feel like we were around friends. Our room was spacious with a more than comfortable bed, fresh clean linens. Noise level was minimal, even with a motorcycle event going on. The hotel offers a warm breakfast daily which is a bonus for us. The coffee was fresh and tasty. If you looking for a wonderful place to enjoy a few nights away from home. This is the one. It’s in close proximity of lots of area attractions as well.

Positive: The room was very cute and spacious. Negative: Check-in was slow & housekeeping still cleaning our room after 3pm. Only one elevator was working, lobby & hallways smelled like wet sand. TV was going out & it was hard to see. Some of the lightbulbs in the room were out.

My family drove down to Lafayette from Kansas to pick up one of our boys who was attending a Boy Scout Camp, it was an 11 hour drive.||||Check-in was seamless and fast. However, when we got to our double room it smelled of mildew and you could feel condensation in the air. We knew something was off and discovered that the hotel has built a room around the Mechanical Room, to access the mechanical room you had to go through our room! I went down to the front desk to get another room and was told that between a softball tournament and the Boy Scout Camp there were no more rooms available. I called the corporate number and they sent a message to the manager who was visiting another property.||||He immediately came over and talked to us and did a room inspection which he acknowledged was in ho

First I want to acknowledge the service I received from this hotel. Ms. Andrea is by far the BEST MANAGER that I have experienced in my work travels. I was greeted professionally, respectfully and she makes sure that you are satisfied. A.J. assisted me with respect when I called and during the most stressful time of not finding an availability for lodging, I was assured an accommodation for two nights. I have to say I am grateful that the other hotel didn’t work out! I am so pleased with my stay that this will be my first choice if available. I have read previous negative reviews and I totally disagree. Unfortunately, No matter what you do, you can’t please everyone. I've stayed here for 2 nights twice in the past 3 weeks. Stayed on the 1st and 3rd floors and on both occasions was very satisfied with room comfort, very clean, great size with work desk, sofa, king bed, tv, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Attentive and honest staff having found my Bose earbuds and shipped them to me with great communications throughout the ordeal. Great location with a 5 minute walk to one of Lafayette best hamburger places, Broaddus Burgers and at the Pinhook intersection, nationally recognized French Bakery, Poupart Bakery, a must visit 😋 Really, check it out!
