Wingate by Wyndham Horn Lake Southaven

At first glance, this hotel appears to have been recently updated with fresh paint, newer appliances, and modern fixtures. However, upon closer inspection, it’s clear that the renovations were only surface level. My first room had significant issues, including falling plaster in the shower that made it unusable. The ceilings and walls showed signs of disrepair, and some doors and fixtures were broken or loose. The staff and service were fine and handled my room change promptly, but the overall condition of the property does not justify the rate—paying over $100 a night for a room in this state is disappointing. I’ve stayed in more affordable hotels that were far better maintained. This location could be much improved with more thorough renovations and attention to long-term upkeep.

We booked our room in advance because we had a wedding to attend. When we got there the hotel smelled like mildew and cigarettes, and so did our room. There were holes in the wall, the dresser knobs were broken, and the faucet wasn’t attached to the sink in the bathroom. We stayed for a total of 10 minutes before booking a room at the La Quinta next door (where the rooms are actually livable).

Gal at desk was rude, spoke so fast I couldn't quite catch what she was saying , no coffee or cups in room asked for some and all she had was decaffeinated. Toilet paper was like tree bark, towels so thin hardly drying, faucet was loose, water pressure very low bathroom door squealed when you used it during nite. Breakfast was pancake or cereal, syrup was low in tin canister but no person to take care of it. Bed was very good and clean

Positive: They had a new Mirror in the bathroom but the entire room need a face-lift. The room is old Negative: The room we were put in had towels dirty The room was not clean dust over headboard and other parts of the room. Tissue rack broke. The sink was dirty and wouldn't drain the water. They has Ragedy black char in room at the desk. I was dissapointed

Went on Priceline and set my filter to pets allowed/Southaven area. This should keep this hotel from ever showing in the feed under any headline on the app. I pay a non-refundable payment and never get to use the room because we had a pet with us. The hotel and Priceline gladly took my mom money and left us stranded. Never again.
