Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Southaven Memphis

I booked this hotel through AAdvantage Hotels because it offered 2300 American Airlines loyalty points and miles for a one night stay. I arrived at the hotel and found it to be in an extremely sketchy area with junky-looking cars in the parking lot and people who did not appear to be guests hanging out. I went inside and told the desk clerk I had a reservation but did not intend to check in due to the condition of the property. I booked the Holiday Inn on the other side of the interstate for less money. I requested a refund through AAdvantage Hotels but did not receive it.

Great places to stay and comfortable bad great WiFi and there is lots of restaurants close to the hotel and 15 from Memphis airport and downtown 20 minutes and Elvis Presley Memphis museum or Graceland is 15 minutes way so pretty much everything near by hotel 🏨

This hotel is in a good location close to things but not too busy. It's new so the rooms and furnishings are nice and in good shape. Our room had a lot of space and includes a small full refrigerator /freezer, cooktop, microwave, and tons of cabinets and storage. The tub had a couple of issues - missing stopper and chips on the finish. Everything was clean and smelled fresh. The staff are wonderful- very friendly and helpful! The one thing that surprised me was the breakfast, or lack of. Just cereal and a few small (as in seriously mini size) pastries. There was no protein and no fresh fruit. It was surprising that it was worse than a lesser class hotel.

Rooms are pretty nice. The "extended stay" room had a full size refrigerator and freezer, full size microwave, small kitchen sink and a 2 burners electric stovetop. It also had plenty of cabinets. It almost felt like walking into a kitchen in a small apartment unit, not a hotel.||Beds and bedding are nice and comfortable. Bathrooms is very nice and atleast a couple of the room outlets have USB ports. They don't seem to charge very fast but they get the job done.||However, the wifi absolutely sucks. You must log in every single time you turn off a device or come back. The speed is horrible and my 3G goes faster. The only good thing is that it saves mobile data usage and I can use my tablet which only has wifi.||Also traffic in the area is ridiculous.||If I'm the area though, I would be incl

Great value for your buck. The room was beautiful, staff was very friendly. Quite neighborhood, the hotel was cozy. Pillows could've been thicker and more channels to watch. The kitchen area was very basic no pots and pans to cook with. Served deluxe breakfast but it was very dull, had snacks downstairs that were extremely overpriced 2 bucks for a soda in a snow storm?? Stayed 3 nights I would recommend to others
