Wingate by Wyndham Columbia/Fort Jackson

I had a very disappointing experience during my recent stay. I was switched rooms twice, which already disrupted what should have been a comfortable visit. Unfortunately, the second room had bed bugs, which is completely unacceptable and extremely distressing. Because of the room changes and the health and safety concern, my stay was far from restful. I believe a refund for both nights would have been appropriate, as neither room provided the basic standard of comfort and cleanliness expected from a hotel. While staff did move me between rooms, the overall experience caused stress, inconvenience, and concern for my belongings. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their inspection and cleanliness procedures to prevent this from happening to future guests.

I was here for work, and this was one of the last affordable hotels available due to the USC game. This hotel was so deplorable I had to cancel my reservation and go elsewhere. In the first room, the floor was paint stained, but more over, the sheets were piss stained. When I asked the front desk to come change the sheets, they informed me housekeeping had already left and said I could change rooms. As soon as I go to the next room, I pull back the sheets and I find clumps of dirt and hair in the bed sheets. I immediately told the front desk to cancel my reservation and went elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even to save money. They had even price gauged almost double their prices for the USC game.

Positive: Nothing Negative: This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The entire place smelled like weed. There were splashes of paint on the floor. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Not a clean place.

Nice hotel that gets the job done! Excellent service & staff. The man working the front desk was very kind & friendly both at check in & check out last week! Offered coffee & breakfast, & was very attentive to any needs. The room was nice, everything was modern & the bed was comfy! I’m from Florida & work in the theme park industry so I deal with hotels/reviews a lot. I travel up to SC often though, and this was my first time staying here last week. Hoping to stay again sometime & would love to get some sort of discount for my next stay hopefully for leaving a nice review!🙂

I don’t have no complaints just the gps takes you to the back of the hotel, took us ten minutes to find it, the road to the hotel has big pot holes need to be repaired. The service was great, the ladies at the front desk was helpful and the housekeeper was very sweet. The room floor was dirty but everything else was fine.
