William Mitchell State Park Campground

Clean and well run campground located between 2 beautiful lakes. The lakes are connected by a canal that runs along the north edge of the campground. Bathhouses with individual shower rooms are clean & well maintained. About 200 sites with electric service. Firewood bundles and ice bags available for purchase. Highly recommended.

Beach, kayak rentals, fishing dock, campground activities, walk the channel path to the day park with a bigger beach. One of the best campgrounds in Michigan! Small cabin rental also available. Great sunrises and sunsets on both lakes!

Nice sites. Lots of presence from the rangers. Quiet hours well respected

We only stopped there to dump our tanks after a dry camping week. The drive for the dump station is a bit tight. I think we will not be stopping just for tanks again. Add in some irresponsible bike riders with a dog carrier, and it was an accident waiting to happen. The host came out quickly and started directing traffic. The grounds look great as we did our quick drive thru.
