Will O' the Wisp Condominiums

Stay away from this place! I booked a room here for 1 night to celebrate with some friends. They accepted my payment, and sent me a confirmation number. The very next day I got a message from them telling me that they canceled my reservation. They told me the system sold me a room that was way too cheap, and that if I wanted to rebook I'd have to pay more. It completely ruined our weekend getaway. I would steer clear from this establishment.

We stayed in a 3rd floor condo (304) for a long weekend. Pros - the service was friendly, the lake views were amazing, and the on site restaurant had delicious food. Cons - the condo itself was extremely outdated. Clearly it is an old building but the chipping paint, lumpy couch, and blown out light bulbs were easy things that could have been different to make the room more enjoyable. Also the latch on the porch door was broken and didn’t lock and the staffs response was that we were on the 3rd floor so it didn’t matter. It just took away from enjoying the room in the evening.

We made our reservation, months ago. We then are told right before our vacation that they are doing balcony work in the building. It says they will be done by 6/30 and there’s no way they will be done because they haven’t even reinstalled the balconies and it’s June 28. We have been woken up on a weekday and weekend before 7:25 AM each morning. Do not stay here! We paid $1000 for three months, which isway too much for this location and this place. But fine. The fact that we’re unable to sleep in, even on a weekend is ridiculous! Do not stay here.

My husband and I loved our long weekend stay here! Lots of activities to do in/out of the building. The room was very clean and updated. The only downfall we ran into was the Wi-Fi did not work, we went to management twice to fix it but was never addressed (first world problem I guess). Overall we really enjoyed our time and would love to come back! 😃

Perfect Spot for a Girls' Getaway! Our stay at Will O’ the Wisp in Deep Creek was exactly what we needed for a girls' vacation — relaxing, fun, and full of great vibes! We stayed in one of the loft rooms on the 7th floor, and it was absolutely perfect for my friend and me. Plenty of space, a super comfy bed, and the view from the balcony? Absolutely stunning. The website did let us know ahead of time that balcony repairs would be happening during our stay, so while the early morning construction had us up before the birds were even chirping, we can’t say we weren’t warned. Honestly, we embraced it as a quirky little “mountain alarm clock” and reminded ourselves they were just freshening things up. Gotta respect a place that takes care of its property!
