Whistling Winds Motel

Wife and I just got done with our 24th anniversary here. We went through the Booking app. The ad shows their absolute best room. Which is what we thought we were getting. The app booked us for the motels smallest room. We didn't find out until we got there. It was disappointing. However as the receptionist was telling us, she took the liberty of upgrading us to a bigger room at no extra charge without us asking. Her advice which I'll pass on, is to book directly through them, not Booking.com. Outside that, the room was warm, and cozy, clean, and well put together. There was no in room jacuzzi in our particular room, which is a big draw. Staff however was wonderful and personable. I would definatly recommend. Just book through the hotel itself, and not any hotel app. Make sure you get what

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The rooms are adorable, the jacuzzi was AMAZING. BUT NOTHING compares to Ms. Kathie herself. She is so sweet and makes you feel at home. She placed small vases of flowers in our room when she found out it was our anniversary. She told us all the great place to explore and eat. She really help make our anniversary one we will never forget! Whistling Winds will forever have my business.

Same apartment as in many years past-#12. A beautiful vase of fresh flowers was on a table. Hand crafted stone gas fireplace still there and still worked. Wood paneling, put in board by board years ago, still gleamed warmly. A step back in time to when craftsmanship was the norm. Still fiercely maintained and still so beautiful. Comfy couch and upholstered chairs, area rugs so watching TV and reading was so enjoyable. All was in a warm, slow down and relax way. Great frig, stove and oven, microwave and coffee perk machine. Great shower, too.|Walked to our chosen restaurants every evening. This is a gem tucked a block away from the beach. Great person running it, Cathy. Super friendly and helpful. The rooms are so pretty with custom woodworking and great decor. Definitely our go to from now on. Oh, prices are reasonable, too!
