Pelican Shores Inn

I booked this room as a regroup, Reset,mental breakaway, staycation. The room was cozy warm upon arrival, well insulated from blustery winds. Entryways, hallways, and rooms were free of debris and sand despite constant foot traffic. We experienced lightning thunder and hail. The power did flash momentarily, but each room is supplied with flashlights if needed which we didn't need to. Housekeeping is courteous attentive and detail orientated. Office staff is engaging, informative, and helpful. This is a secure, quiet, perfect place to stay with a friendly staff.

We have been coming to Pelican Shores Inn for years and it never disappoints. The rooms have all been updated and are cozy and comfortable. The bathrooms are small but you’re there for the view and the view is AMAZING! All of the rooms have views. This time we stayed in a Fireplace King Suite and that’s all we’ll get from now on … it had a small kitchen and table, couch and two comfy chairs and an electric fireplace. We watched the sun set on our balcony and there’s nothing better. The check in was smooth and the staff was friendly. We did not eat breakfast there but it is provided. I would highly recommend a stay at the Pelican Shore’s Inn.

You can tell they try to make this place seem great on paper, but it doesnt perform or justify the price tag. We stayed in room 326 (2nd floor)||The good:|-Clean room, had a small kitchen (stove, microwave, mini fridge)|- seperate living room from bedroom|-ocean views and access (literally nothing between your room and the ocean)|-evening cookies|-continental breakfast|-indoor pool||Honestly it checked almost every box we wanted we wanted on paper…but in execution it just isnt quite right||The not so great:|- odd facility. Extremely small/tight parking lot, and theres absolutely no hotel staff past 10pm (best not get locked out, or need towels or blankets. You can call for help but you have to wait for someone to come)||-door quirks. Room doors dont always open and require odd quirks to

As other reviewers have said, this place looks shabby from the exterior but they have certainly made a good effort to remodel the lobby and rooms. We had a king suite with fireplace, amazing view to watch the waves, all rooms have an ocean view, and residents have beach access. Our room had a nice clean scent, was very clean, good linens and little kitchen area. The bed was a little soft for our liking, but the bedroom had a ceiling fan and window to the parking lot. They have coin operated laundry (1 washer/1dryer) which we used, and had a nice selection of continental breakfast options. We will definitely stay here again and or recommend to others. The value was very good!

Positive: All the rooms look directly on the beach. Negative: There was no dryer for washing and drying clothes.
