Ester Lee Oceanview Inn

I had a terrific long weekend. The weather was phenomenal. The Ester Lee's location is great, easy (but steep) walk to the beach, fantastic view from our room. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. BUT the hotel is in serious need of some TLC. Both of my sisters had single rooms and the windows were too foggy to see the view. One sister had the handle to her shower come off in her hand so she had to use our other sister's shower. The manager refused to give any sort of discount. We stayed in a one bedroom with a kitchen. The kitchen was poorly stocked- 3 spoons, 2 forks and 1 table knife. 3 plates, 3 bowls and 2 saucers. No serving dishes or mixing bowls at all. My sisters' rooms had deadbolts that were clearly supposed to be used on restrooms as

Positive: The ocean view. Negative: The hotel had black mold in the shower and a fly was smashed in the door. It wasnt what I thought we were purchasing. The staff was rude.

The view!! And they literally think of everything my dog is never without a blanket or a nice potty area. The front desk Management lady is amazing didn't get her name. She upgraded our room on our 3rd stay here. Husband didn't book a pet friendly room. Which is in no fault of the hotel. We never stay at the same place more than once this place has me hooked 3 times! I am a house keeper and the rooms definitely could use a heavier clean. They need to deep clean more. I cleaned our room on the second day and there was so much dog hair!!!! I swept up as much as I could cleaned the cob website from the ceiling cleaned the jetted tub out. Great location and ocean view, however, too many annoying problems with the room. The large bedroom window had a blind that didn't work, so the room was lit all night by the parking lot light. The manager couldn't fix it and couldn't find a repairman. The bathroom heater didn't work. The kitchen was missing some needed supplies. The rusty baseboard heaters make the place look cheap. A coat of paint would do wonders for the look. Good furnishings, though, and a beautiful view.

The rooms are very clean, all basic necessities provided. Not the newest building but neither is my home. Motel has been kept up nicely. Great pet area. Beautiful view of the beach. Beach access is close and has a handicap parking area.
