Whistling Pines Motel - Daily & Extended Stay

Absolutely Horrid hotel. We didn't even stay in the hotel room, we just drove nearly 4 hours back home at 10pm instead. I was pregnant at the time and had a 2 year old with me, we needed a non-smoking room, and the room we were given smelled putrid of smoke. The smoke detector was ripped out, wires were exposed, broken lamps, roaches dead and alive in the room. After a quick look in the room, we approached the front desk, who called the owner, and the owner was incredibly unhelpful simply denying the room could smell like smoke and refused to give us a different room or refund. It doesn't help that they only have a phone number, no email, so I haven't been able to reach out to get any documentation that we didn't stay so I could get a refund through my booking site. As motel value shoppers, we don’t need frills, just a clean, comfortable bed and a functional AC.||This motel is trying hard to get there - it’s had a recent face-lift and it looks like it would fit our bill. Unfortunately, clean at this motel is only skin deep.||Woke up at 4:30 AM to find 2 bugs crawling across our legs inside the sheets. Turned on the light and saw 3 additional bugs crawling atop the bed next to us. Water bugs? Not sure, didn’t matter. Our clothes, folded on the desk had bugs on them too. Got dressed and left immediately.||Not the kind of value we were looking for.

Sierra was great my stay there and made sure my family had all we needed during our stay.

Clean and quite! For the price absolutely can not beat it! And the front desk worker is just as sweet as can be!

I was traveling to see my Daddy in a memory care facility. I needed a place affordable, and available in a moments notice. Thought this was perfect...... Did not feel safe...... I killed 4 roaches as soon as I walked in...... I wouldn't even turn down the bed to sleep! I got my travel blanket from the car and wrapped it around me.
