Baymont by Wyndham Elizabeth City, NC

Hotel is not clean. Clerk at reception desk is loud on phone during breakfast chatting on a personal call. First room had bathroom door that had fallen off hinges. They placed me in a new room, which was okay. Bizarre and not classy colors now grace the walls. For instance, the colors in my room were cream on one side, blue-gray on another and lime-green against the window. Work out room is only half lit. The stationary bike does not work. There is a bench and two piece bar with weights. There is tape on the end so they don't come off. Baymont pics are still on the walls, but this hotel is not up to Baymont standards.

Stay far away, Worst experience ever. There is a snack for your breakfast consisting of a waffle and some stale cereal in the morning and juice that tastes sour,NO Coffee. There is NO Business center. The rooms have roaches in them and mold in showers. There are stains on the carpets and the building looks out dated. The front desk staff are rude and break hotel chain policy , left key in my room by accident and went to desk for another.. never asked for a ID or name and just gave me a key. They did NOT change the sheets or towels just remade bed and refolded the towels. I will definitely not be returning to this property and will definitely be filling a complaint with the hotel chain.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the receptionist who was preoccupied with his phone, taking approximately five minutes to acknowledge me. When I posed a question, he reacted with noticeable irritation. The room's lighting was excessively dim, necessitating the door to be left open to locate a well-lit area. The room was remarkably dark. The ceiling appeared to have mold that had been painted over, or possibly it was a former smoking room. The air conditioning was not functioning, resulting in an uncomfortably hot room. The door did not seal properly, allowing hallway light to seep through the crack. I felt a sense of unease. Dirty, smells like mood or old cigarette, breakfast horrible, room dirty, small bathroom dirty, air conditioning dose not work was in room 222 walls dirty, thin and overall the hotel gave me creepy vibes like someone would snatch me out my sleep!! Had to take a shower at my sister house due to bathroom being disgusting !! Do not recommend for women who are traveling alone or traveling with children!!

During our stay in Elizabeth City for a family event, we chose this particular establishment. Our room, number 109, was situated on the first floor, and we observed that the shower curtain had a noticeable tear. Furthermore, on the final night of our stay, we unfortunately spotted a large waterbug crawling on the wall.
