Pros: Great location in downtown Anchorage with easy access to good local food, trails, and the rail depot. Breakfast is complimentary and consists of locally baked bagels, breads, and coffee - nothing fancy, but high quality. Rooms are quiet, clean, and spacious. Staff was very helpful and kept our extra bags safe when we left for a day before returning. Cons: Finding out that parking at the hotel is $40/night was an unfortunate surprise. We ended up parking on the street (free after 6 p.m.) and a public lot during our day away. Not the biggest deal, but inconvenient that we weren't able to plan appropriately before our arrival. Just writing this as I am booked here in the summer. I have been told that the hotel is being rennovated this winter, and is now owned by Carnival Cruise lines for its Holland America and Princess cruise lines. ||Can anybody incuding trip advisor confirm this. The telephone is active but no answer.

The rooms were fairly nice, comfortable and modern. When I booked I thought it was reasonable, but when I asked for a parking permit, I was then informed of a $40/night charge. They had about 16 parking spaces. It is located in downtown Anchorage, art shops and restaurant are near by. Their Continental Breakfast consists of coffee cake, muffins, toast, some days bagels, juice, corn flakes, coffee, tea and bananas and oranges. There was a plate with a slab of cream cheese, and community bowls of jelly and peanut butter. The vending machines on my floor were not working until I asked them to check. Front desk staff friendly and efficient at checkin. ||Location is central to walk which is great. ||Room: DIRTY. |Dirty used Kleenex on floor. |Squished old blankets under mattress. (Found while doing my regular bed bug check)|Bits of stuff all over carpet, appears to not be vacuumed or have used a broken vacuum. |Patio door was open and doesn’t seem to lock. ||Overall, not great room but good central location.

We had booked 1 room for 3 pax for 2 nights, 11th Aug to 13th Aug through their official website $514, we missed our Flight from Vancouver on 11th Aug, to our surprised and shock, when we try to intimate the hotel about our plan check-in, we didn't find any email neither in their website nor in the booking confirmation voucher, only only number that didn't go through only. We we reached next day to the hotel at evening time, they informed us as we didn't informed them about our missed flight the room goes under 'NO SHOW' and now there are no rooms available with them, we even called the police to intervein but nothing happened and finally we had to move and search another hotel for our remaining stay. moreover they charged our credit card $514 booking amount and another $257 extra, we had
