Western Motel Shamrock TX

Loved this hotel! Uppen was great! Made the check in/out process super fast. The room was clean, sheets and towels were good quality. Overall great accommodations!

Rooms clean quaint. Everything CLEAN QUIET and in working order. I never cared for Dish tv or whatever that is. It never works; but the WiFi 🛜 there is great. HOT 🥰water in the shower. Nice sized bathroom. Clean Crisp bed linens. Room SMELLS CLEAN and IS CLEAN. Staff so very nice and helpful. 🥰🙏 This place was godsend for a weary traveler like me.

Nice room, smelled clean. Staff were helpful finding us a place to eat. ( Rusty's) We arrived about 7pm. Thank you for the good night's sleep. We would stay again.

My wife and I stayed here for a night on our way from central Missouri to Albuquerque. I had made a reservation online prior to leaving home, based on the website description and the excellent reviews. We love staying at older historical properties like this, especially if the owner has spent time and money modernizing and renovating, as this gentleman has. We were NOT disappointed! The owner checked us in, and checked us out the next morning. Don't let anyone try to tell you that owning a motel is a kick-back-and-relax proposition! The room was very pleasant, with modern paint touches and a strong AC system, and the usual coffee maker, TV, easy chair, etc. The bed, likewise, was not a Walmart special, as it was comfortable (to us), as were the pillows. Don't underestimate this place! Not only do they have the friendliest owners on the Mother Road, not only are their rooms clean and comfortable, not only is it located directly across the street from the Taj Majal of Texas, the Conoco Power Station & U-Drop Inn... this is the place you NEED to stay if you're driving Route 66. It has all the hallmarks of friendliness and good old fashioned hospitality, a throwback to better times. If you're lucky, you may even get one of the rooms that looks out at the green neon at night. Check out the great steakhouse down the block.
