Holiday Inn Express & Suites North Shamrock TX

We recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel and were thoroughly disappointed with our experience. Our first room was unusable – both the TV and the phone were inoperative. After being moved to another room, the problems continued. The bathroom was dirty, with hair on the toilet and on the floor near the tub, and two lights were out. We were looking forward to hot showers, but could only manage warm ones at best. The night was uncomfortably cold: the thermostat was set to 64 °F, and even after raising it to 70 °F the temperature never climbed above 65 °F. Breakfast was far below expectations. The sausage patties were dry, and the orange juice sat in my glass like sludge. The only redeeming quality was that the linens appeared clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately,

Nicely updated hotel with really nice staff right along Route 66. Some of the rooms look out toward the Conoco Tower and U Drop Cafe, an iconic Route 66 stop with neon lights at night. It was really cool to be able to open the window to see it lit up if we wanted. It's a small town, so there isn't an abundance of local food options, but that's to be expected in my opinion. The breakfast was really good and the room was nice. Plenty of parking near the main entrance which is a rarity at most locations and much appreciated here. I would definitely stay again if I found myself in the area.

I just wanted to shoutout Misty, who works in the kitchen and the breakfast area! She was very helpful, energetic, and overall just very nice! She worked really hard to make sure that our big group was taken care of. She was warm, genuine, and was doing her work with a great attitude! She's a hard worker and someone who made our stay so much more pleasant! Thank you Misty!

I was with my brother and it was getting pretty late, we are both handicapped and needed a place to stay. Luckily, we had came across a Holiday Inn and it was a really good stay! Derrick, One of the sweetest hotel receptionist did everything he could to accommodate us with helping finding something to eat, switching us rooms, bringing us towels and a new remote! Excellent young man excellent service. The breakfast was phenomenal and overall the stay was very well received by us.

where is misty the breakfast hostess??? this hotel just don't feel the same without her she was such a friendly funny wholesome person. Sad she was let go we probably won't be staying here again. service wasn't the same breakfast was horrible and the lady was not even speaking English didn't understand us crazy!!! WiFi problems and maids obviously don't care this place has went down hill fast
