Wayside Motel

The Wayside Motel needs alot of work. Very rundown. Old, uncared for, overpriced, doors don't shut well, smell of smoke lingers, no phones, bathrooms are small and cramped. They do allow pets. If you are traveling with your pets then it's ok to stay here one night until you find a better accommodation. There aren't any restaurants on the property but there are places to eat within walking distance and the owners are pleasant. It feels like you are in the boonies or in the middle of nowhere but close by are some restaurants and nice neighborhoods. St. Louis is really a beautiful city worth visiting and exploring by car.

$95 a night is absolute insanity for this place. Not worth the price. No wifi either. Expect to be woken up throughout the night as the regulars tweak out, yell, fight, scream and slam doors. Asking for an extra pillow was like pulling teeth.

I've stayed plenty of times never saw any bugs

Right off of Watson Road, up near the Walmart, (probably less than 3 miles from the Walmart) in a very convenient area with accessible roads all around it. Great location, & great rooms for the price! In terms of a good, quality cheap hotel room - I'd say that this is at the top of my list! The price isn't bad at all, and the room is worth it! Clean, quiet, & even has its own garage for each room!!! I had a good experience here, & the customer service was just okay; it wasn't horrible but it also wasn't 5 star service either. Then again what can you really expect for the price being what it is? Customer service wasn't bad at all. My fiance and I stayed here multiple times and always had a good experience when we did stay here.

This place is of the older, nostalgic type. However, it serves it's purpose and it nicely located for St. Louis activities.
