Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Louis South - I-55 by IHG

My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in St. Louis. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The check-in process went smoothly and didn’t take too long. The room was clean and roomy enough. The bed was comfortable. One quirk of the room was that the heater/AC kept cycling between heat and AC. When it would reach the thermostat temperature it would cycle to AC blow cold air and then after a little while it would cycle back to heat. It kept going up and down a degree back and forth. It wasn’t really uncomfortable temperature wise but it was a bit annoying. |In the evening there was a cookie hour when they served fresh cookies and milk. The breakfast in the morning was good and it included cinnamon rolls, pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, etc.

Positive: Tastefully decorated, nice room accommodations and wonderful breakfast Negative: Pillows were not comfortable

Our party of two adults stayed at this hotel for three nights in August. We have previously stayed at the Hampton Inn next door to it, but found the beds to be very uncomfortable last time. So, we decided to try the Holiday Inn Express.||Everything was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was about what you expect with midlevel hotels. The room was fine and the beds comfortable enough. We'd definitely stay there again.

Pretty much on par with other Holiday Inn Express locations. Good water pressure and cookies at night were yummy. Very convenient location and staff was very friendly. Breakfast is nothing special but gets the job done. I did have a couple issues. One involved very loud groups of children in the pool area. Since my room was right above this it was very loud. Second very annoying issue is the thermostat in the room is motion activated and can only be set permanently from the front desk. Not fun to come back to the room after dinner and have it extremely hot or to have the ac shut off periodically. I was told this is "standard" for all hotels but have never had this issue at any other hotel.

Clean hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and they were helpful. I would stay there again. The room was clean and quiet. It was very close to the highway, which is exactly what we wanted.
