Watauga Lakeshore Resort and Marina

We rented a pontoon boat and it was amazing! We even got to bring our dog on this journey since they are pet friendly on their boats. We stoped at many beautiful spots and swam in the water taking in the view. We rented it for 8 hours so it was amazing going all the way up the watauga lake. I would recommend for a family or a person or family with a dog as they can all enjoy it! You get life jackets so you don’t have to worry about bad swimmer or people who wish to just chill in the water. If you have to go to the bathroom you can just drive back and take a stop, then head back out if you wish to do so.

Super easy experience with very friendly staff and truly one of the prettiest lakes I have ever been on. We were out cruising and swimming all day and created some great family memories as well!

Our first day on the water with the older Avalon was damn near perfect. (July 27). All seven of us had a blast tubing, riding and swimming. I took my mother out 10 days later, and since it was just the two of us, I rented the smaller fishing vessel to motor around and swim and fish. The first for hours was stunning, until the engine lost its go fast juju. Spent the next two hours motoring the length of the lake, back to the marina. Ended up being towed in the last quarter mile and given a replacement boat that was good for the last two hours. Bottom line, the pontoons are awesome, and the smaller fishing boats should be avoided as they have given staff and guests a lot of headaches. Shout out to Shaggy and Chelsea. You're super cool and good at what you do. Kindness goes a long way!

Watauga lake and the Lakeshore resort are our go to places for a relaxing day on the water. The staff at the resort are very friendly and informative. Our latest trip we were looking for a towable for boating and the resort didn't have any left for sale, but sent us to another marina that did have some left. To me that is great service. We will be back many many times in the future.

Whenever me and my family came to water lakeshore resort and Marina to pick up our boat that I had rented for the day. The staff was very good to us, and we even got upgraded to a premium boat. Because of difficulties, finding the ones that I rented. Which was great and we were very happy with that. I give this place a ten out of ten plan to be renting more and more at the marina and highly recommend 👌 👍 👏
