Google thinks this is a hotel. Far from it actually! It’s a really wooded campground with lots of shade. The camp host is super friendly and helpful. The campsites are roomy and private from each other. You can bring a camper or RV but there is no hook up and the road leading up to the grounds is narrow and loaded with very tight switch backs. This will likely limit the size of the camper you could bring. We are car campers, so it was perfect for us. There are clean bathrooms with flushing toilets, but no showers. There are also spigots placed around that everyone can use that provide cold, clean, potable spring water. There is firewood spread around that everyone is welcome to take, but I would recommend an axe, or some way to split it. They are pretty large logs that need to be split dow

Nice campground, quiet. No cell service. Dale the campground host was nice. The bathroom does not have showers which we knew that going in so bathed at Planet Fitness in Elizabethton which is only 6 miles away. Our campsite (#4) is literally 60 feet from the road but at night was little to no traffic. Hiking to the Appalachian trail is super close.

Dennis Cove was a nice little campground, there were flush toilets and running water, although no showers at this facility. The camp hosts were often not present, since this was my first time here and I had a reservation from recreation.gov I wasn't sure what the procedure was. It's five miles down the twisty mountain road that brings you to the road that has nearest store for gas and ice(and coffee). There's a few grocery stores not too far away, definitely closer then other campgrounds I've stayed at. Campsites are close but not too close and there are beautiful streams and creeks in the area.

I did a drive-thru looking at the campground and sites. Several sites were occupied and folks appeared to be having a good time. The campground is primitive, but does have community potable water faucets for camper’s access and non-flushing toilets. I spoke with the campground host and he was very polite. The host did confirm the gates at this campground are ALWAYS open.
