Virginia Tent at Wild Acres

We are greatly disappointed with the customer service we are receiving this year. We were given coupons for our 2012 vacation after going to a meeting for Ideal cottages memberships at your Old Orchard resort. The staff told us to use them towards our vacation this year. I can't believe we were considering purchasing a membership! The reservations office is saying the OOB location messed up and they are only honoring half the value of the coupons and not allowing the AAA discount originally quoted. If the objective is to sell memberships and you have interested customers who want to come back again shouldn't you be honoring what your customers were originally promised and training your local reps better so that you are all on the same page and customers are not misled? Visited a friend who had a seasonal site. Very busy place with so many golf carts, it was kinda crazy busy on the roads in the park. Sites were small to med in size and pools looked clean. Didn't visit the bathrooms.

We had a bad experience. Staff didn't follow through on what they promised (such as wifi, and when we registered, I told them it was a requirement for my work. They said we'd have it, then when that didn't transpire, they did not back their word). ||||They changed the pool hours (closed early even if it wasn't storming) ... and other similar things.||||The only occasion the staff wasn't rude was the day we pre-registered (in March or April). Come summer, it was a different story. Never expected rudeness like this.

Ideal cottage were advertised as cottages that can sleep up to 7 people. In reality, they are premanufacture houses build like RVs to be installed on camping. The so called sleeping loft is a "crawl-in" space that only suit young children so it limits the use of 4 sleeping spot. The clearange is about 3' at the center, less on the side. My children 11, 8 and 4, had to lie down on the bed to get dress because they couldn't stand up.||||Beside the kitchen area, the rest of those cottages is also very small, something that is not shown on their nice pictures. The celling in the master bedroom is at about 6.5 feet, the shower, the toilet and the sink area are all very, very narrow. Great disappointment this year this camping, we had booked and paid in advance in early June by the website like we did every year. This year, they lost my reservation, it has no more site unless I accept a night in one site parking and changing place for another site the next morning ( with a trailer is very fun) . No choice and they do not pay back ... must apply in writing to the head office of New York for a refund or compensation. Wild Acres Park and Virginia united in the same camping as the Nascar not sure this is a good deal, they make the advertising by the phone this is annoying but they can not inform you that the entrance is no more by Temple street which has become the way out, we were never told that we had to enter by the Wild Acres ... not much!
