Ventura Beach House Motel

Bed comfy and sheets nice. Fridge and coffee maker with microwave. Hot water with good pressure. Very old school motor court with parking right outside the door. Nice area close to downtown. Looked freshly painted inside. However, the room smelled like old smoke and was VERY disappointing in that regard. I really regretted that and would not have booked it had I known, even though the room was a good value otherwise, especially for this part of California. The carpet is probably 50 years old loop pile and I felt like if they would just take that up and not allow smoking it would be great. The carpet WAS ALSO FILTHY DIRTY and I attach a photo of the bottom of my freshly washed feet just from walking around the room barefoot for an hour before bed. The room was runned down and you have to wash all your blankets and towels and if you have just a little stain they keep your deposit and if you ask for a remote for the tv its another 100 they are just for your money i wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy

Well, the hotel itself was nice enough and clean paint was fresh carpet was nice. Bathroom was well enough. The people at the front desk were very rude or hesitant to even rent a room to me me like I was a criminal and ultimately charged me extra because I had a friend over And there was no need to do so we were not allowed. No issues were needed to be addressed. These people are just disrespectful and don’t deserve your hard money

My husband and I chose this motel because of the price. It was summer time and all of the hotel and motel prices skyrocketed. The Ventura Beach house was the only place within our budget. I worried about cleanliness and quality of this location but we were pleasantly surprised! The owners were very friendly and the grounds were clean, freshly painted and very nice. The room was a bit outdated but very clean. In my opinion cleanliness and a comfortable bed is more important than modern and new. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend then Ventura Beach House motel!
