Vagabond Inn - Ventura

We stayed here after a packers cruise to the Channel Islands. It was a convenient location for us. Room was fine and the owner was kind enough to upgrade us to larger room. It was spotlessly clean I really can’t fault that. The aircon worked well, parking was good. |The motel itself looks a little dated on the outside and we were amused the dinning chairs were actually office chairs but it wasn’t anything off putting. The only gripe I had was that there was a drain in the kitchen floor that was obviously lacking a u-bend and the smell coming out of it was very unpleasant. They tried to help this with a plug in air freshener but it didn’t really do the job. My guess is this is the only room with this issue though. |All in all a pleasant enough stay.

I have stayed at the vagabon inn many times. My crew use to stay there. However, in the last several years it appears not to be open. Their website even has specials. When I call the reservation line for Bagabon inn they tell me it is cold unti further notice. What is going on with this place. There are cars parked inside and It appears to be open but it isn't?????

I live there in a program. And. It's exactly what one would think it would be. Very basic very old school. We exactly what we need to survive. I'm grateful and thankful to have the opportunity to stay here in my way to permanent housing. I really miss the restaurant here. They should bring that back the hobo omelette was a hit!! Loved it! That would allow a few if I'd to have work close to home. THAT would be awesome. Thanx Vagabond! BRING BACK THE RESTAURANT!!! #Hobo❣️omelette

I've been locked out of my room all day, and will be sleeping in my car tonight because the entire staff took the day off. I can't get any help. I can't believe this is happening

The hotel was fine overall, room was comfortable and it's a good location. However, we did not really feel comfortable. We arrived early evening and the people staying there weren't the 'nicest'. We saw a few fights going on, heard a lot of shouting and people just hanging out in front of their rooms. When we entered our room there was an half empty bottle of water left on the bedside table and some leftover food left in the fridge. For the rest the room was very clean and comfortable. Very noisy though.. The breakfast in the morning was in the lobby (no tables and seats) and only has little sugary snacks and coffee and tea. For the price we paid though, we can't really complain about this.
