Largely skip this place. I had a late check in on a Monday night. The office was closed there was a phone number provided. I called it left messages and never got a response. Called security nobody could get me someone who could check me in. I ended up spending $150 at a nearby hotel. The next morning I go do the check in process and was given keys. THE KEYS DID IT WORK. Had to drive 6 miles back to the office to let them know. Maintenance was called and it was another 40 minutes before that was resolved. At check out I ask for the $150 is spent on a hotel to be refunded. I was offered a free night. The room wasn't that great I'm disgusted with the level of service.....so no I don't want a free night at a place where I have been disgusted with the stay.

It’s a two star accommodation. Seriously. If that’s what you’re looking for it MIGHT be worth it. We stayed in the waterwood townhouse. The staff are adversarial. I called to tell them the outdoor trash was overflowing and was told that I don’t get housekeeping… The staff is definitely the worst part. They’re unwilling to spend $1 giving you another roll of toilet paper, or extra trash bags. Talk about penny wise pound foolish! They clearly have a roach problem. All the dishes are untrustworthy. It’s like you can’t even get them clean… we used disposable instead. Bathrooms have stains all over. The toilets have pee stain rings. The carpet has seen better days. My reservation was initially booked through Wyndham timeshare. I was never notified that it was moved to VRI. I arrived in New Bern at 730pm and didn’t get into my room until 830pm. There was no notification other than me calling the day prior in regards to late check-in and letting them know my service dog would be with me. I was informed I would need to provide paperwork for my service dog which is illegal to ask for under ADA law. The envelope of the map to my condo was incorrect making me think I was t at the right place, my key card did not work to get me into my room and I had to go to the Rec Center where they called security who told me to go to the condo that I thought was mine so he could let me in. 1st let me start this off with we've been at staying at wyndham resorts for 10 years, Fairfield Harbor a few times. And this is by far our worst experience ever! VRI is the one whom got our booking and they manage half the property and another company manages the other. We usually get the windjammers and they're beautiful, nice and clean. This time was TERRIBLE! VRI and Wyndham should be ashamed and embarrassed renting units out looking like this! We stayed in Sandcastle Cove unit 5062 We arrived after hours. The place was dirty! And every out dated. Big cockroaches. Sleeper couch broken and tore up. The sleeper zipper mattress cover had yellow stains on it. The extra bedding for the sleeper couch had blood on it. NO BLANKET. We stayed in Unit 12...it was dirty, the 1/2 bath has mold and dirt all around the mat. The tub surround was streaked with stains. The area around the 1/2 bath toilet was absolutely dirty. It smelled like a cabin closed up for years. Hardly any of the furnishing matched The curtains were from the 70's smelled of dust. Carpet dirty. We belong to a timeshare outside of this. So they really didn't care. The manager of property was nice but his female help not so much. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. BTW, if you arrive after 7 the office is closed.
