Tryon Riverfront Inn New Bern, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The rooms are clean, modern and quiet with beautiful views (photos). In the restaurant I had the venison meatballs with a mushroom sauce. They were delicious and I think they should make it an entree with mixed veg. Rylee was my server. She was very welcoming and friendly. I went to the reception to ask some questions and there I met Medina who is absolutely wonderful. She's a real "people person" just like Rylee and excellent at what she does. If only every hotel where we stayed had front desk employees like Medina! Yesterday morning I had breakfast (love the crisly peppercorn bacon) and again Rylee was my server, cheerful as ever. Please commend these fine ladies for me.

Nice hotel to spend the night after a long day at the beach. We are within 2 hours from Wilmington but after a long day at sand dollar island we wanted to get a hotel room so we didn’t have to rush back home. The hotel seemed clean for the most part. Could use some updating in certain area. The level we were on had a few dehumidifiers out so it smelt a bit musty. I’m assuming due to it being July and hot. That’s my only complaint.

Really excellent hotel, especially for someone mobility impaired. I have two knee replacements and, although I don't need a roll-in shower, having a low bathtub with grab bars is a must! This hotel has that and more, with towel rods (what a concept nowadays in hotels), and towel hooks right where you want them by the shower. Front desk staff were very helpful in getting another lamp, helping us with directions, and just generally friendly! Location is excellent, right next to the convention center, if that's what you need, and within a block walking distance of the wonderful New Bern downtown with great shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Positive: The building was very pretty, and the location was great for walkability. Negative: We had a 5 day stay and our room was never cleaned and restocked. The staff was completely untrained, including the manager. They were all friendly, but for a Hilton hotel they had no concept of talking care of the patrons and working as a team.

Lovely room, only one comment: It needs more lighting near the desk area. It was so dark. Otherwise the room is excellent in atmosphere, cleanliness, all the amenities were on point. I don't know how they do it but the room smell heavenly. The rooms are so well insulated you would rarely hear outside or hallway noises. Before warned that breakfast is not included. Although they do have a restaurant it is very expensive. The items look delicious 😋 but I wouldn't call it hardy. We went to IHOP instead. Next time we may try it out. The desk staff was very attentive, helpful and quick.
