University Hotel & Suites Shippensburg, Trademark by Wyndham

Absolutely the WORST hotel experience I have ever had — and I travel frequently. I booked this hotel online through a third party, and when I arrived, the staff had no idea how to process the payment. Instead of being checked in and settling into my room, I was forced to sit in the lobby for almost TWO HOURS while they tried to figure out how to use the card provided by the booking company. To make matters worse, nearly every employee there (except the housekeeper) said it was their first day on the job. No training. No manager in control. No sense of urgency. Just confusion and wasted time. When I finally got to the room, it only got worse: The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. There were literal drops of blood on the stairwell going upstairs. My room had a patched hole in the wall that

Positive: The staff and location were good. Negative: The hot water heater broke so I had to take a cold shower.

Positive: The bed was very comfortable, we did have a clean room and it was quiet. The staff were very friendly with our issues and were efficient. Negative: We did have a mixup on the night we got there. Us and a few others were given rooms that were not cleaned or someone was already in that room. After we got our room someone else tried walking into our room. No issues after that night. no pool per staff.
