Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shippensburg by IHG

This is an extremely nice place! The check in area is in the middle of the lobby, so it gives it a different feel than just a hotel. Very nicely decorated. Bruce checked us in and he was wonderful! Very personable and had a very easy smile and laugh. My granddaughters love going into the pools when we go to hotels and this one was really nice. Very warm in the pool/hot tub area. Even the water in the pool was on the warmer side, so it was very enjoyable!

I stay at this location each year for Uprise Music festival. Friendly staff. Clean room. As a gluten-sensitive person, I truly appreciate the gluten-free bagels and muffins. I also|Love that they had pork AND turkey sausage. (I don’t eat pork) and two choices of omelets. The coffee machine grinds the beans when it makes your cup. Really good! I will be back next year!

when I checked in I had to fill out a paper and select minimal room service items that I wanted done daily. I checked fresh towels and garbage removal, the first two days they brought towels after that I had to go down and get at front desk. The garbage was never removed. I noticed others set their garbage outside of the room and so I started doing that. I needed to stay another week but the stay was so poor I checked out at end of the week and went to Chambersburg. At Chambersburg they completely cleaned the room each day, put in fresh towels. The stay is best summed up by a sign in their lobby. Pets are welcome and people are tolerated. This is exactly how the guest are treated. My observations below: 1. rooms are not cleaned at all and there is a film of dust on lamps etc to show this.

Such a nice stay, and it was so nice I was able to call and talk directly with a person at the Hotel! Bryce was so nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable, not pricey at all and upon checking in after a very long drive with children Bryce was very welcoming. Breakfast was very good and it was awesome to see a few gluten free options. The ladies were very nice and kept everything very nice as well. Definitely marked it down for a future stay.

We do ton of traveling for kids sports and found holiday inn express the best chain. This location is brand new. Rooms are extremely large and super clean. We got two queens plus pull sofa bed. Includes free GOOD breakfast, microwave, fridge all for $100 on a Friday with big event at shippensburg. Front desk guy super friendly.
