Best Western Shippensburg Hotel

My room was ok, it looks like the place was recently updated. There are no elevators so be prepared to walk your luggage up steps if you're on the 2nd floor. My sheets looked like they weren't changed...good thing I packed my own bedding. There are 3 very very small pillows on each bed...so bring you own pillows if you're a pillow person...I stayed there for 3 days and every morning before 7am staff would open my door I'm guessing it was the cleaning staff...that certainly tested my patience...It wasn't a bad stay but not good enough for me to stay there again unless I absolutely had no other choices.

We arrive around 7pm for check in. The front desk attendant was nowhere in sight and I had to wait 10-15mins. When he returned, I was given my room keys. We walked down the hall to the room and unlocked the door, only to find that the room was already occupied by another customer. We had full access into their room, with their belongings everywhere! I immediately shut the door and went to the front desk. The attendant didn’t seem to concerned that he just gave me keys to an already occupied room. I would’ve been mortified if the people were inside the room as I unlocked it, that’s a big no no and shouldn’t have happpened!!

This Best Western is under renovation and they are doing a great job!|Pool looked inviting, but closed by the time we arrived, wish it was open longer.|Breakfast was good, they have a new "touchless pancake machine" and it's awesome. You can make up 12 pancakes at one time. |They had flavored milks, that made my morning!|Bed was comfortable and pillows were good. Needed another blanket.|Easy on and off the highway. |Plenty of restaurants within a mile.|Plenty of gas stations within a mile.|Staff was friendly and helpful.|They are in the Green Hotel magazine that you find at the Rest Areas. They are worth checking out!

Great value, easy off I81. Freshly redone in 2025 according to the staff. Clean modern rooms. HVAC controls worked great lots of adjustment options. Our room was nice no issues. Bright lobby, large breakfast room .

We were traveling to Pittsburgh and too tired to make it the whole way. There is not much between Harrisburg and Bedford- we knew there was a college in Shippensburg so tried this Best western and we’re not disappointed. It was a bit off the turnpike, ( but co located with the college). It was clean, reasonably priced, staff was polite. The room was modern looking due to recent remodel. Shout out to Penny- the breakfast atten. She kept the tables and counters immaculate. Often community eating areas in hotels are not frequently cleaned. She was so pleasant. It’s nice to have a Friendly face and conversation when traveling. Would like to explore the are more in a future trip- would stop here again.
