Milesburn Cabin (PATC), Shippensburg, PA

A very nice cabin that one can rent thru Pa. Parks. A year round stream runs nearby, a nice fireplace to keep warm. The Appalachian Trail is 200 feet away with a excellent trail running north to Shippensburg Rd. Or south to Caledonia SP. Just a beautiful walk ether way. Very quiet except AT hikers who may stop for water 200 feet away. Stop and talk to them, very interesting, people from all over the world come this way.

Beautiful cabin, 100 feet from the AT trail. It would be perfect for some magic trail (prime location). You must be an extrovert, because thru-hikers will come by and talk to you, they will be at the porch, pit, outhouse 😉. Bring tons of light, even with the shutters open, there is not enough light during the day. Bring a sheet to cover the mattresses, one is queen, the rest are twins (6-8). Plenty of games, but someone is using the jenga pieces for fire! Some missing pieces. Plenty of card games, bowling, taboo, yahtzee, dominos, and a 1000 puzzle. A book about insects, the bible, and a dictionary. Bring a container that you can latch, some mice come at night. There are plenty of utensils and cooking ware (plates, cups, wine glasses), but bring the following, so you can replenish what y

So much hiking! Such a cozy cabin experience, we had a great time.

Nice cabin that's both away in nature and still close enough to civilization if you end up needing something last minute. It's a primitive cabin, so no electricity or running water. Only heating is from the fireplace or wood stove. Had a great time here, relaxing and catching up with friends away from cellphones and TV.

Walked by on the Appalachian Trail. Such a visual cabin and setting, I had to stop and take a picture. Trust this gives you a visual of this one of a kind offering. Hard to find a remote cabin to tent. Trust you enjoy.
