Courtyard by Marriott Shippensburg

This hotel was everything I would want - friendly, clean, comfortable, quiet. There’s a restaurant on site that had delicious food. My highlight though was the beautiful space outside where we took drinks in the evening and sat around the fire. There were ample seats for varying preferences - some around a fire, others not. Some chairs, a sofa, some with umbrella tables, others with just a side table. There were several people outside that evening and everyone was laughing and having fun, but we had space so I never felt like they were interrupting our evening. Loved this hotel. I go to the Shippensburg area periodically but usually just head home at the end of the day. I may be tempted to just stay more often and would definitely stay here again.

I am a Marriott person but not normally a Courtyard person as I think they can be overpriced for what you get. This particular hotel has changed my mind. I had a spacious king suite with a view of the mountains. Room and hotel was well maintained and very clean. It had an indoor heated pool and whirpool. Also had a bistro that serves breakfast and dinner. They also make Starbucks. It is a limited menu but the convience of not having to go out was worth it. I would definitely stay hear again and all the staff was so polite. It was the closest Marriott to wear I needed to be, so I still had to drive 45 mins but it is right off the interstate at the university.

Positive: There was way too much noise way too early in the halls by the cleaning staff if was off-putting. When I am checking in late and paying for a full day and having to check out less than 12 hours later I expect at least to be able to sleep till 9 Negative: The noise from the cleaning staff in the hallways was terrible as was regular foot noise at night.

Stayed here overnight when I brought my daughter back to school after the winter break. It’s pretty much right on the campus. Staff were very pleasant from check in to check out. The lady that waited on us during breakfast at the bistro was so sweet, I believe her name was Samaya. I will surely stay here again whenever needed.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay except for my husband's bad fall in the shower. We had an accessible room so there were grab bars but the floor became impossibly slippery once wet. Both the shower and bathroom floor were very dangerous. My husband has a very bruised forearm and lightly bruised butt from his fall. We reported this upon checking out but are sad to report that there was no followup from management even though the attendee wrote notes about the incident. We hope that no one else has this exper.
