Tru by Hilton Terrell

We stayed here 4 3 days during the ice storm in Noeth Texas. Upon arrival I noticed how bright, colorful, and clean it looked. We were greeted by a nice man who checked our reservation. All was good then he proceeded to hand me our room keys at the same time he was tell me the elevators were not working except going down. He then checked and saw that he had put us on the 3rd floor. He immediately changed it to the second floor. So I then hauled our suitcase up to the second floor. This was not what we planned for in ANY hotel. He didn't even offer to take it up. To his defense I think he was the only one working that night. We got to our room which was very nice. Btw we didn't arrive until about 9:00 pm. We got tucked in and when we got up the next morning I went to go downstairs for some

Very small rooms with inadequate soundproofing in the walls. Anemic shower water pressure. Passively aggressive “friendly” night clerk boarding on creepy. Very rude breakfast staff turning off breakfast area power at 902 am even though people were at the counter getting food. Apparently waiting a couple of minutes wasn’t an option for the staff nor using their words like”I’m sorry I have to close this down now”. Either option would be preferable to the barge in shut it all down ignore the customers thing they did do. Common areas not vacuumed. Walked by the same debris in the hallway each day of our stay. I arranged for a 2-night stay at this hotel for an acquaintance and not myself. Pet-friendly. Front desk staff (Diana, Natalie) courteous and well-trained. General manager, Jill, with good work ethic and oversight. Very grateful to Tru by Hilton-Terrell for booking walk-in with no reservation or advanced notice. Overall performance consistent with worldwide reputation and expectations of Hilton Hotels, in general. Thank you, Tru by Hilton in Terrell, TX!

Positive: Location and cost Negative: The walls were so thin we heard the person next door snoring and every time someone opened and closed their doors. Road noise was very loud too.

This was a nice and clean hotel near a major restaurant and retail area. Breakfast was typical self-serve Hilton fare. Rooms aren’t geared for long-term stays but worked for an overnight need. For example, you won’t get a closet and the hanging bar given is above the refrigerator so there’s not a spot to hang a dress.
