Tru by Hilton Sandusky

My family and I had a nice stay over the weekend at Tru by Hilton Sandusky. We reserved two rooms and received keys quickly upon our arrival even though we had already checked in online. A clerical error resulted in one of the rooms needing to be switched, but it was taken care of quickly. The rooms are bright, modern, and clean. Hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash by the brand "Not Soap, Radio" is provided in the bathroom, and was a treat to use. We were in town for a competition at the Kalahari convention center, and this was a fantastic alternative to staying at their hotel, which is a very short drive away. The daily breakfast was a highlight, offered 6-10am, with really cool pancake machines. The person taking care of the breakfast was also very friendly and helpful

We had a great overnight stay for volleyball. It is clean. The hotel in general throughout has thin walls which means you hear everything and the showers only go so warm and seem to run out of it quickly. Otherwise the staff are wonderful and let me get checked it early due to ending games early that day!

We stayed here for a soccer tournament and didn't have high hopes because other area hotels in the past have been bad! The Tru hotel was actually SO nice. The kids loved the games in the lobby and I enjoyed the unique items you can purchase at the desk (melatonin, calming face masks, their signature lemon toiletries, really good snacks, etc). The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The real stand out though was the excellent staff, especially Terri. She went above and beyond and you can tell she truly enjoys her job. She wrote little messages to the kids on their morning bananas to support their soccer team and gave us snack samples to hand out to the kids after the game. I like how I was able to check in and pick my room through the app. Steamless. Very convenient. Stayed in room 124. Room was spacious and smelled very clean! Close to the pool. Comfy beds. All moen fixtures in bathroom. Modern. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Friendly morning staff always stocking the stations. Glad Sandusky finally has a few hilton brand hotels now. Better than the budget ones around there.

We were on a girl's trip to just get away and relax . And we did just that here in a VERY clean room , comfy beds, mini fridge and a very clean bathroom. Lobby area was very welcoming with the friendliest staff ever . The free breakfast was delicious and had more options than most hotels. The pool was clean and heated , the only suggestions would be to possibly add a microwave and mini coffee pot to each room . Though both can be found in the main lobby 24/7 it would be convenient to not leave the room for those items . We will definitely be staying here again very soon
