Hotel Breakers

Got lake view room. No balcony. Room extremely small and overpriced. Went during Halloweekend. The bellman were extremely helpful and gave correct information. Our room was ready at 930am which was amazing. Front desk gave us wrong info, directions , where to buy express passes. Bathroom was moldy and dirty. Room so small there was no closet or wardrobe, just hooks hanging from wall. Resturants very overpriced $21 for omelet at Perkins. Went to McDonald’s for breakfast and famous Dave’s for dinner. The “walk” to the park was about 15 mins not a short walk. The park closed the 2nd day we were there and hotel did refund us for the night and park fee. Indoor pool was ok. Not very clean and no one was there.

Hotel Breakers offers unbeatable value and convenience for Cedar Point visitors. Its prime location made park entry a breeze, allowing us to split our park adventure over two days effortlessly. The room package included park passes and parking, which was a fantastic bonus. The staff was exceptionally friendly, always greeting us with smiles and ready to assist. Despite some negative reviews online, our experience was fantastic. Sure, the rooms aren’t Four Seasons-level luxury, but you’re paying for the proximity to Cedar Point and the seamless experience, not a high-end resort. After a 3-4 hour drive, we got exactly what we expected: convenience, comfort, cleanliness and an stress-free stay. We had an amazing time and will definitely return next year. 10/10, highly recommend for any Cedar

We were very disappointed with our experience at The Breakers. During our visit to the resort pool, we witnessed several high school kids jump the fence and enter without any security intervention. People were openly smoking around the pool area, and at one point, my daughter even pulled an empty beer can out of the water. In the entire time we were there, only two staff members came by to check for wristbands, yet no one seemed to be wearing them, and no one who was asked to leave actually left. This lack of enforcement made the pool feel chaotic and unsafe, ultimately forcing my family to leave early. We’ve been staying at Hotel Breakers for over 15 years, and sadly, this was our worst experience ever. The condition of the room was unacceptable — the bathtub was literally caving in, there were stains all over the walls, and we even found trash left behind from previous guests. It was clear the room had not been cleaned or maintained properly. For a hotel that charges premium rates and is part of the Cedar Point experience, this level of neglect is incredibly disappointing. After so many years of choosing Hotel Breakers, we’ve decided this will be our last stay. Going forward, we’ll be booking an Airbnb instead.
