Tru by Hilton Oxford

Quite possibly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Very clean. Like completely immaculate. Good water pressure, great beds good pillows good TV very clean. They have a nice laundry room for the guests, a really well equipped gym. A fully stocked snack bar with lots of variety. Extremely friendly staff. Overall, I would give them 10 stars if I could. You can tell that whoever runs this place has great pride and does an excellent job. Thank you very much for having such a nice place to stay for the night. If I am ever in town again, there will be no questions at all. I will absolutely stay here. Other hotels should visit this one because you’re doing it right!!!! Thank you!!!

Positive: This hotel is SO clean and the staff is SO wonderful. We always stay here when we come to Oxford. Negative: We love Tru, but we do not love the bedding. For some reason it is always a struggle for us to get cooled off and get comfortable with the covers.

This has been a great stay during a trying time. This storm hit this town so hard. There are no words. We have a tree on our house and no power no water for a week. Kurt and his team were able to get us a room and his team were helpful and positive! Most of them don’t have power at their own homes. The location is amazing. Very convenient! Definitely stay here on your next Oxford visit!

Tru is promoted as a "value" Hilton brand. I booked 4 nights at $155 per night; about average for a college town. When I checked out I received an e-bill reflecting the weekend rates were over $400 per night! Hilton Honors rep was not helpful at all. Even if she said she understood the issue would have went a long way. Beware of bait-and-switch booking using their app. Otherwise facility was average. Not real clean, although the area is very safe. Only one elevator worked throughout our stay.

59 degrees in my room upon entry. Not a great first impression showing you care about my comfort. Also inside of my card holder literally breaks down policy of a snack and two bottles of water 250 bonus points. Was not given the option for either. I usually have $15 of credit to spend as a diamond member on food and drinks which I wanted to do since I did not get a snack into bottles of water, but then was also informed that this hotel doesn't offer that. How is it that corporate policy is chosen not to be followed at singular locations...?
