Tru by Hilton Florida City

I was so leery to come here because Google review rating told me the area was bad. I just assumed the hotel would be broken down. This hotel in Florida city is absolutely amazing! I was greeting by Lizette who was so nice and helpful! Then….Everything from how wonderful the shower was, to the way they dispense shampoo, etc., to the free breakfast was above and beyond! The breakfast bar has everything from sausage and eggs, to fresh pancakes made on demand and a bagel bar. It’s really great and the staff member that mandate was so nice and really took pride in her work. I then talked with Ebony at the front desk, who was so incredibly friendly and kind! This staff really needs commended! It's all brand new and beautiful with so many fun things to do! Hilton is my favorite place to stay but

I stayed here for one night and had a very solid 4-star experience. While the price felt a little high, it is actually quite reasonable compared to the other options in the immediate area. The rooms were modern and clean, the service was friendly, and having breakfast included is a great perk. The best part: The location is perfect if you are heading to the Keys. Being on the outskirts of Miami and closer to Key West allowed me to completely beat the heavy Miami traffic the next morning. It saved me at least an hour of driving time! If you need a reliable, comfortable place to stay before starting your drive down the islands, this is a brilliant choice.

The visit was good. Everything was great. They gave us 2 free bottles which was nice of them. Though the view from the window wasn’t good at all. I liked the pancakes at breakfast. The room was pretty clean. The bathroom was very clean. The whole room was pretty clean. Overall good hotel.

The exceptional friendliest of the front staff squeaks this review into 4 from 3 but its really a 3.5. Most things were great, they had foosball instead of pool in the lobby but still lots of fun. Common areas clean. Room clean and quiet. Well quiet once the front desk person came up and asked our neighbors to stop jumping, pounding and yelling in delight. The breakfast was not up to par. Many things were out and started out. No OJ, no yogurt besides vanilla, first day just unappetizing apples (2nd day had nice bananas). But both mornings the food ran out and there was nothing or almost nothing. The 1st am there was a point where everything was gone. 2nd morning most things gone despite much lower crowds. Its our vacation and we want to get going not stand around waiting for more foo

This is a 2-star hotel charging 5-star prices. When you pay and average of $225/night you expect a coffee maker in your room. Not here. You expect a microwave. Not here. A desk big enough for a laptop and notebook. Not here. A spacious room. Nope, again, not here. When you want a cup of coffee you have to take the rickety, unreliable elevator to the lobby. Several times during my stay the elevators were stuck. Once with a person inside. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the blackout blind was great and the hot water came quickly. But, I will not stay here again. You shouldn't either. There are a lot of hotels in the area. You can easily find a better deal.
