Best Western Gateway to the Keys

The room was spacious but bed was not that great. One side of the bed sunk in like a spring has been broke in the mattress. The location is good for access to the Everglades area. You will find many dinning options close to the hotel. The pool area was clean and inviting.The pool has some shade areas and umbrellas. I would stay again but check my room first the bed is a big deal for a good sleep.

The best part is the location. It’s very convenient if heading to the keys. Wi fi worked best on my phone when standing by the window in the room. There were some things on the floor such as a fake pearl that wasn’t swept up obviously. ||The exterior is very nice and I felt like the area was much nicer than I expected from previous posts I read. ||We try to get BW if price and reviews are comparable to others in the area. Hindsight I’d have considered another hotel that was at a slightly lower price point and at least as highly reviewed. ||The worst part is the breakfast. Go when it opens. We arrived at 8:20. a.m., and it was like hunting season with people trying to find a place to sit. Way too many people for the breakfast room and one person trying to keep items replenished. Good location in Florida City near the mall, convenient for visiting the Everglades and the Keys. Room wasn’t too clean. Hair and junk on the floor. Amenities minimal as is typical in an American motel. Travelers from China please note that Unionpay is not accepted for payments or for the required deposits here. Breakfast is awful. Front desk staff were all excellent and patient. $30-40 paid late checkout is a great deal.

The rooms were nice and clean but very noisy. We had a man with a child knocking on our door at 1am. We decided to stay here because of the reviews for their breakfast and the location. We got downstairs over an hour before breakfast ended and everything was empty. Four families went and complained to the front desk after us. The employee who was in charge of this area was rude and did a poor job making sure the guests were take care of. No eggs, no waffle mix, no bread, no milk for cereal, some of the juice was empty and what she did decide to refill, she did it with an attitude. We decided to cancel the 2nd and 3rd night and go somewhere else. The front desk said they would but couldn’t help us because it was booked through Trip.com. When we contacted Trip, they approved the refund but

Bad reviews are just untrue and so glad we took the chance!!! I own Airbnbs either I got the best room they have or the hotel is just great… ITS FANTASTIC FOR THE PRICE! Nelly checked us in, she was very sweet and courteous, explained everything. She even placed us in the perfect spot as we had a very expensive enduro bike in the truck bed. The room had a mild smell of bleach and thank the heavens means it’s more sterilized. It was very clean I always check mattresses and under beds. Clean clean and clean. The tubs people keep saying have a rough texture is just a bad re-glazing job. There is no mold no nothing and I stayed on the first floor. Oooo and they have free coffee, hot cocoa and tea available 24 hours as well as fruit water and cookies at checkin. Breakfast is yummy with waffle
