Tru by Hilton Cedar Rapids Westdale

We stayed here 12/5–12/7 with my son’s hockey team, and after six years of travel hockey and countless hotel nights, this was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had. The hotel is clean, welcoming, and has great spaces for families to gather. The rooms are on the smaller side for a family of four, but they’re thoughtfully designed and very functional. What really sets this place apart is the staff. Every team member we met was warm, genuine, and clearly committed to making guests feel taken care of. They handled our large group of energetic hockey players with incredible patience and professionalism—encouraging them to have fun, but also kindly guiding them to be respectful of other guests. Not once did anyone make us feel like a burden. A+ hospitality. We’re already looking forward

Positive: Quiet and friendly Negative: Outlet placement isn’t the best for charging electric devices

I wish I could say something good about our stay at the hotel but I can't come up with anything. It started with check in when we were not acknowledged as Hilton Honors members. There was a sign by the check in desk that said that housekeeping will come every other day but you could ask for daily housekeeping. We asked for that and they put it on our account. We were there 3 nights and the only housekeeping we ever got was fresh towels and only because to asked for it. We repeatedly asked for housekeeping and were assured it would happen but it never did.||The room was OK but had no carpet so felt unclean. The room number was missing by the entry door. The common areas did not seem to get vacuumed very often.||We tried the breakfast the first morning but it was meager and the

Well pool was closed main reason we stayed at a hotel tonight, elevator needed to be cleaned carpet was dirty .. bathrooms we dirty. For one of the more expensive hotels around not worth it. It'd a very cheap atmosphere as far as beds tables ect..

If you come to this hotel and dont know the TRU brand you might be disappointed. No frills. But all the properties are new. I generally stay at TRU brands when I have a quick over night for work and get in late and have an early meeting. I have to say, the construction of this hotel is very poor. The walls are so paper thin you can hear virtually everything in both rooms. The outside was also incredibly noisy late at night. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, etc. But the construction of this one is very cheap. If you aren't a light sleeper this is place is just fine. If you are, good luck
