The Hotel at Kirkwood Center

The rooms are thoughtfully laid out with convenient access/charging panel for the TV and any electronics you bring with you. I love the eco-friendly bathroom supplies. Bed was comfortable, especially with blackout curtains that worked well. The long bench for unpacking suitcases was awesome--I hate when there's only one suitcase holder so other suitcases need to go on the floor. The temp control worked great and kept us nice and toasty in this below zero weather.

I previously shared some feedback regarding my trip last year (Feb 2025), there were some issues and concerns, with hotel management. I went back last month, the experience was completely different, the hotel management and staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was a pleasant one. The room was cleaned, the staff was professional and calm, and the communication stellar. A complete turnaround for good. Thanks Jackie and staff for listening and taking appropriate actions to improve the guest experience.

From checking in to checking out, very pleasant. Staff was nice. The room was spacious, bed was very comfy, and I loved the room decor. Very low key and peaceful. I drove here from Minnesota and would definitely be back.

The Hotel at Kirkwood is absolutely amazing! Everything is first class! Everything was extremely clean, the food at the restaurant is fantastic. My steak was as good as any 5 star restaurant I have eaten in. And the staff is as good or actually better in several cases than the 4 and 5 star hotels I have stayed in! ||Anyone traveling that hasn't stayed at the Hotel at Kirkwood and chooses some place else is an absolute fool! There is no hotel in Cedar Rapids that comes anywhere close to the Hotel at Kirkwood!
