Treebones Resort

I came here for a trip with my siblings and we all can’t wait to come back. This place really feels like paradise on earth. Especially with how high up in the clouds you are. The yurts are comfortable, clean, and warm. The entire staff was incredibly kind and responsive. All the facilities were clean, daily breakfast was delicious, and so were the lunches. Highly recommend eating on site because the chef was amazing. Also, yoga each morning was lovely. The teacher was really patient and educational.

Treebones Resort is located in the ragged southern part of Big Sur, just north of Garda. It is truly a magical place, where the pace of life slows down in accordance with the lack of cell service, and the Internet is available only at the main lodge. It is quiet, encouraging to be in tune with nature. It's a restorative experience!|The food served is supreme. The Okasame Sushi experience is a highlight. The Sushi chefs make it in front of you using the freshest ingredients, one piece at a time. It is a celebration of flavors and textures. The small room, accommodating 8 people, encourages communication and interaction with other guests, making dinner a wonderful social event.|There is a hot tub from which you can immerse yourself in the stunning sunset. There is a small pool for swimming.

I can go on forever. To start, our first call was to confirm our stay and give us a “run down” of what to expect right after we booked our visit. I was given the tip to book the omakase experience early (glad I did). There were also subsequent email interactions that felt concierge. We booked approximately 1.5 months in advance (booked in January for an end of February stay). On the day of our arrival, Danielle called to confirm what time we were arriving. She was so kind and helpful at check in (9pm) and helped us plan a glorious itinerary for the next day. We booked an autonomous yurt which is a latest addition to already existing 15 yurts. Staff who greeted us were very helpful and friendly. We had an amazing view of the ocean and totally enjoyed our own fire pit on the deck.|We booked sushi dinner at their sushi restaurant and experience was wonderful! |The next day we had a dinner at their mail restaurant where all foods are cooked on the wood burning oven. Every dish was tasty.|During the day we explored hiking trails nearby and I definitely will recommend spending some time on the sand dollar beach.

High end yurt experience. I’m finishing dinner as I write this and it could not taste better! Quick observation If you’ve never stayed in a yurt be aware there is no bathroom in your yurt. You must walk a short way to the rest room or the shower which I don’t mind. My yurt has wood deck overlooking the Atlantic. So quiet. I think three days should do the trick. The staff is top notch. Friendly and help full.
